Inspired by that rare moment when the ice of the Himalayas begins to yield to the warmth of the sun, Givre d’Or explores the transformation between cold and warmth, stillness and energy. The opening is radiant and vibrant, with solar accords and dark fruits, accented by the spicy touch of black pepper. The initial sensation retains a crystalline quality, gradually giving way to a deeper warmth.
At the heart of the composition, cashmere wood evokes the silent strength of nature hidden beneath the ice, with a velvety and enveloping olfactory texture. Lily of the valley and heliotrope bring floral radiance, while oakmoss and caramel introduce contrasts in texture and temperature. On the skin, the fragrance gradually warms, as patchouli, musk, ambergris, leather and sandalwood create a magnetic, long-lasting and elegant base.
In this creation by Gianluca Gariboldi, the concept of thawing becomes an olfactory language: the cool freshness of the opening transforms into a warm and sensual base, without the fragrance losing its clarity.
